The Class "A" uniform is the official uniform worn by the BSA Scouting of America. It is comprised of the khaki scout shirt, green scout
pants, scout hat, scout belt, neckerchief and slide. When your child first joins the troop we do not recommend that you purchase the
uniform right away. Make sure that your child is interested in staying in the scouting program before making this investment. However, if
your child plans to go to BSA Scouting summer camp (
Yawgoog) in July, he will need the uniform since we dress for dinner each evening.
At our Court of Honor in May, our troop will provide your child with the Troop 482 neckerchief for his uniform. The slide should be purchased when you buy the uniform. If you have already purchaed the uniform, please view our video on the
Class A Uniform for proper patch placement.
